**GUADALAJARA, MEXICO –** Chivas de Guadalajara have parted ways with head coach Óscar García Junyent after just nine Liga MX matches. The Spanish coach’s tenure ended abruptly, just hours before Saturday’s game against Pumas. The decision follows the recent dismissal of the Spanish-led technical committee, comprised of Juan Carlos Martínez and Fran Pérez.
García’s time with Chivas yielded a record of four wins (all at home), three draws, and four losses, leaving the team in 11th place in the Clausura 2025, outside of playoff contention.
