**Hyderabad, March 1, 2025** – A new police outpost was inaugurated today at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad to address the rising number of passengers and enhance security. The outpost, located at the arrival level (C-Level), will serve to improve crime prevention and provide a safer environment for travelers and airport staff.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty officially opened the facility. The event was attended by several senior officials, including representatives from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), the Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO), the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), and GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. (GHIAL).
With RGIA now handling an average of 90,000 passengers daily, the new outpost is expected to play a crucial role in handling emergencies, assisting passengers, and coordinating with other security agencies.
