**VIZIANAGARAM, Andhra Pradesh –** Andhra Pradesh is gearing up for Mahashivratri celebrations on Wednesday, with authorities in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts implementing extensive security and traffic management plans to accommodate the anticipated influx of devotees. The Ramateertham temple in Vizianagaram district, expecting around 50,000 visitors, is a focal point of preparations. While a Vaishnavite temple, it draws large crowds due to a local belief that Lord Rama worshipped Shiva there. Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal stated that significant police presence, including three DSPs and 22 Sub-Inspectors, will be deployed to manage security and traffic around the temple. Other temples in the region, including those in Punyagiri and Vizianagaram city, also anticipate increased visitor numbers.
