**KOCHI, February 24, 2025** – The Kochi Metro will extend its operating hours on Wednesday and Thursday to accommodate Sivaratri celebrations. Services from Thripunithura will run until 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while services from Aluva will begin at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, operating at 30-minute intervals until 6 a.m. before resuming normal frequency.
Furthermore, a new electric bus circular feeder service will launch in the first week of March, connecting the High Court Water Metro station to key city locations including Pharmacy Junction, M.G. Road, Maharaja’s, and General Hospital. Three buses will operate this route, running every 20 minutes from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a fare of ₹20 for a 5km journey.
The announcement comes as existing electric feeder bus services, launched 40 days ago, report over one lakh commuters using the nine buses currently operating across various routes including Aluva-Kochi airport, Kalamassery-medical college, Kalamassery-Cusat, Kalamassery-Infopark, and Kakkanad Water Metro connections.
