**New Delhi, [Date of Publication]** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 examination. Candidates can access their results on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, using their application number and date of birth.

The results include subject-wise cut-offs for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor eligibility, and PhD admission. The UGC NET, conducted twice a year, determines eligibility for JRF and Assistant Professor positions in universities and higher education institutions across India. Significantly, UGC NET scores are now also being accepted for PhD entrance.

The December 2024 UGC NET exam, originally scheduled from January 3rd to 16th, was later adjusted due to the Makar Sankranti and Pongal festivals. The computer-based test (CBT) was eventually held on January 21st and 27th, covering 85 subjects across 558 exam centers in 266 cities. A total of 6,49,490 candidates appeared out of 8,49,166 registered.

The provisional answer key was released on January 31st, 2025, with an objection window open from February 1st to 3rd.
