Sun Feb 23 15:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Survivor Fans to Decide Fate of Season 50 in Groundbreaking Move

**New York, NY** – Get ready, Survivor fans! In a historic move, CBS and Survivor producers are handing over the reins of Season 50 to its viewers. Announced at an advance screening of Survivor 48 in New York City, “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans” will allow fans to vote on crucial aspects of the game, from the presence of immunity idols to the location of the finale.

Voting begins during the Survivor 48 premiere on February 26th, via a dedicated website. Throughout the spring, fans will have further opportunities to influence key decisions, including whether or not idols will be in play, if the final four will compete in a fire-making challenge, and even whether the finale and reunion show will be held in Los Angeles or Fiji. Crucially, the contestants will remain unaware of these fan-determined elements until they arrive in Fiji.

This marks the most significant fan involvement in the show’s history since the “Second Chance” season in 2015. To celebrate this milestone, CBS released the official logo for Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

Host and showrunner Jeff Probst stated, “For our 50th season, it’s time for the next evolution. Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans is unlike anything we’ve done before. Our loyal fans will take control — deciding key elements of the game.”

The celebration extends beyond voting rights; Survivor, in partnership with Fiji Airways, will fly five groups of fans to Fiji to witness filming firsthand, experiencing iconic locations and even meeting Jeff Probst.

This unprecedented fan engagement is a testament to the show’s 25-year legacy and hints at many more seasons to come.
