**New Delhi, February 22:** Newly appointed Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta held a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. Their discussion focused on Delhi’s development projects and the fulfillment of electoral promises. PM Modi advised CM Gupta to expedite the implementation of her government’s plans and prioritize projects aimed at improving the lives of Delhi’s citizens.

This meeting follows CM Gupta’s earlier meetings with President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. The discussions covered a range of issues, including the Yamuna river cleaning initiative, and improvements to Delhi’s roads, water supply, electricity, transportation, sanitation, and other essential infrastructure. PM Modi assured the CM of the central government’s full cooperation in Delhi’s development.

CM Gupta informed PM Modi that her government is working diligently to fulfill its promises to the people of Delhi and is committed to transforming the city into a smarter and better place to live. PM Modi emphasized the importance of timely project completion to deliver quick relief to the citizens.

The meeting touched upon several key issues, including the 2025 Delhi budget, Yamuna cleaning, traffic and transportation improvements, road and infrastructure development, free water and electricity initiatives, sanitation, and pollution control.

Following the meeting, CM Gupta expressed confidence that the impact of these development initiatives will soon be visible to Delhi’s residents. She reiterated the government’s commitment to working closely with the central government to build a better and more modern Delhi. She also appealed to citizens to offer suggestions to help the government better address their needs. Reports also indicate that CM Gupta has already taken action, instructing Public Works Department officials to promptly repair Delhi’s roads.
