**Hyderabad, February 23, 2025** – A 25-year-old man, A. Saikumar, was arrested in Hyderabad on Saturday for the brutal stabbing death of his father, Arelli Mogli, 45. The attack, which occurred in broad daylight near the ECIL bus terminal in Kushaiguda, left onlookers shocked.
According to Kushaiguda ACP T. Mahesh, Saikumar attacked his father with a kitchen knife, inflicting 15 wounds. Mogli, owner of a packers and movers business where his son also worked, was traveling by bus when he was ambushed by Saikumar. Mogli was rushed to a private hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Family members attributed the incident to an ongoing financial dispute exacerbated by Mogli’s alcohol addiction, which frequently caused arguments at home. Police have confirmed that Saikumar planned the murder, fueled by frustration over the family’s financial problems.
A case has been registered, and investigations are underway. Saikumar is currently in police custody.
