**Chennai, February 23, 2025** – A 13-year-old boy was tragically electrocuted and his friend injured in a freak accident in Red Hills, Chennai, on Friday evening. According to Red Hills police, S. Sam and L. Ganesh were playing football when the ball became lodged in a nearby transformer. While attempting to retrieve it, Sam received a fatal electric shock, while Ganesh sustained burns. Ganesh is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital, while Sam’s body has been sent to Government Stanley Hospital for a post-mortem.
