**Prayagraj, [Date]:** The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has postponed the high school and intermediate board examinations scheduled for February 24th in Prayagraj. The decision comes in light of the ongoing Kumbh Mela and the expected large crowds.
The exams, originally slated for February 24th, will now be held on March 9th. This affects the Hindi (Elementary) and Healthcare exams for high school students, and Military Science and General Hindi exams for intermediate students. The timings of these exams remain unchanged. Examinations in all other districts will proceed as scheduled.
The UPMSP has taken extensive measures to ensure smooth conduct of the exams across the state. A total of 8,140 examination centers have been established, including 576 government, 3,446 aided, and 4,118 self-financed schools. 306 centers are categorized as highly sensitive and 692 as sensitive, with a control room set up for online monitoring.
A total of 27,32,216 students are registered for the high school exams and 27,05,017 for the intermediate exams. The board has prepared extra question papers and implemented strict measures to prevent answer sheet irregularities.
