**Prayagraj, UP** – With the Maha Kumbh Mela nearing its end, the Uttar Pradesh government is ramping up security and logistical preparations for the final major bath (Shahi Snan) on February 26th. Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar visited the Kumbh Mela site to oversee arrangements and issue instructions to officials.

DGP Kumar assured the public that comprehensive plans are in place for crowd management and traffic control to ensure a smooth and safe experience for devotees, particularly during the final bath and the upcoming weekend. He also revealed that over 50 FIRs have been filed against individuals spreading misinformation online, with authorities actively monitoring social media to maintain peace and order.

The officials conducted a boat inspection of the Sangam Ghats, focusing on cleanliness and issuing further directives to ensure a hygienic environment. Chief Secretary Singh noted that approximately 59 crore devotees have participated in the Maha Kumbh so far, with over one crore attending daily in its final phase. The event, which began January 13th, has drawn participants from across India and abroad, including dignitaries such as the President, Prime Minister, and numerous other high-profile guests.
