**Jammu, February 22, 2025** – Security forces launched a large-scale anti-terror operation across the Jammu region on Saturday, targeting nearly three dozen locations. The operations, which are ongoing, stem from reports of suspicious activity and are part of a broader area domination exercise.
The search operations are concentrated in several districts, including Poonch, Rajouri, Udhampur, Kathua, Doda, and Kishtwar, extending to areas near the Line of Control (LoC). One operation was initiated in Poonch district following sightings of two suspected foreign terrorists late Friday night.
While no contact has yet been made with any terrorists, the extensive searches cover a wide swathe of territory, including mountainous regions and forest areas. The operation involves searches at 13 locations in Poonch-Rajouri and 18 more in the higher reaches of Udhampur, Kathua, Doda, and Kishtwar districts, with a particular focus on the Khaderan forest. Further searches are also underway in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu district. The situation remains fluid, with security forces continuing their efforts.
