Sat Feb 22 10:46:19 UTC 2025: ## US and Russia to Hold Second Meeting on Ukraine Conflict

**NEW DELHI, February 22, 2025** – Following a first round of talks on Tuesday, Russia and the United States are set to hold a second meeting within the next two weeks to discuss the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and broader bilateral relations. This was announced Saturday by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, who spoke to the RIA state news agency.

The upcoming meeting, to be held in a yet-to-be-disclosed third country, will focus on addressing a range of issues, including the so-called “irritants” affecting US-Russia relations. Ryabkov stated that both sides have agreed in principle to hold consultations on these matters. He further noted that the discussions will proceed along two parallel tracks: the Ukrainian conflict and broader bilateral issues, including potential dialogue on strategic stability and arms control. However, Ryabkov conditioned the latter on observable improvements in US policy. Discussions on West Asia were also mentioned as a possibility.

The Kremlin described the initial meeting as a significant step towards resolving the Ukraine conflict, emphasizing its focus on bilateral ties. A potential face-to-face meeting between Presidents Putin and Trump later this month is also under consideration, according to the Kremlin. Both presidents have expressed interest in such a meeting.
