Sat Feb 22 15:05:14 UTC 2025: ## Kerala Muslim Group Condemns Attempts to Distort History
**Kozhikode, Kerala – February 23, 2025** – The Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM), a prominent Muslim organization in Kerala, has urged fellow Muslim groups and community committees to actively counter attempts to misrepresent the history of the Muslim renaissance in the state. A state-level conference held on Saturday, February 22nd, marked the launch of a series of meetings across constituencies.
The KNM expressed concern over efforts to undermine cooperation among various Muslim organizations and to tarnish the reputations of community leaders who championed progressive social movements. T.P. Abdulla Koya Madani, the KNM state president, called on young people to expose what he termed “pseudo-spirituality” and exploitative practices disguised as religious reform. He warned against the spread of superstition under the guise of religious revival. P.P. Uneenkutty, the state general secretary, presided over the conference. The meetings aim to strengthen unity and preserve the accurate historical narrative of the Kerala Muslim renaissance.
