**New Delhi –** Newly-elected Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has launched her administration with a focus on infrastructure improvements and fulfilling campaign promises. MLAs will be sworn in on February 25th, followed by the tabling of 14 pending CAG reports on the 26th. This follows a cabinet meeting chaired by CM Gupta where the reports, delayed from the previous AAP government, were approved.
CM Gupta held a meeting to discuss the upcoming Delhi budget and met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who reportedly offered guidance on the city’s development. The Chief Minister and her cabinet ministers conducted a ground-level inspection of roads, hospitals, and water quality on Saturday. Gupta stated her commitment to working tirelessly for the people of Delhi.
Concerns regarding water quality prompted Gupta to instruct the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to submit a report detailing affected areas and proposed solutions.
Meanwhile, former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Atishi has requested a meeting with CM Gupta to discuss the BJP’s campaign promise of a Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance scheme for women. The cabinet also approved the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme.
