Sat Feb 22 15:02:59 UTC 2025: ## Three Convicted in 2021 Murder of Retired Police Officer in Kerala
**Thiruvananthapuram, February 22, 2025** – A Neyyattinkara court today found three men guilty of the murder of retired Assistant Sub-Inspector Manoharan in Kanjiramkulam, Kerala. The incident occurred on January 27, 2021, when Manoharan, 57, was attacked at his home and suffered severe head injuries from an iron rod assault. His wife was also assaulted. Manoharan succumbed to his injuries on February 7, 2021.
The accused, Suresh (42), Vijayan (69), and his son Sunil (36), all residents of Kanjiramkulam, were convicted by Judge A.M. Basheer. Sentencing is scheduled for Monday.
According to the prosecution, the murder stemmed from a dispute over a land survey near the accused’s property. They suspected Manoharan of involvement in initiating the survey.
