**Tiruchi, February 23, 2025** – A 59-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident on the Chennai-Madurai National Highway on Saturday. C. Vellaiammal, a resident of Marungapuri, was walking to a temple with others when a vehicle struck her and fled the scene. Police sources confirmed she died instantly. The Tiruchi Traffic Investigation-South has registered a case and launched an investigation to identify the vehicle involved.
