Fri Feb 21 18:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Gujarat Police Busts International Ring Trafficking Women’s Videos on Dark Web

**Prayagraj, India** – Gujarat Police have arrested four men for filming women at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj and selling the videos on the dark web. The arrests followed an investigation into an international ring operating across India and involving hackers from Romania and Atlanta.

The primary suspect, Praj Patil from Sangli, Maharashtra, was apprehended along with Prajwal Teli from Latur, Maharashtra, and Chandraprakash Fulchand from Prayagraj. The investigation revealed that Pranav Teli, also from Latur, was in contact with foreign hackers, collaborating to film women at the Kumbh Mela and in hospitals and malls in Gujarat and Maharashtra. These videos, many showing women partially undressed, were then uploaded to the dark web.

The group used Telegram channels, charging subscribers ₹2,000-₹4,000 for access to the illicit content. Gujarat Police have confirmed that funds were transferred to Teli’s account from overseas, linking the operation to international money laundering.

A total of 13 FIRs have been filed in connection with the case, with two registered in Gujarat and Prayagraj alone. The investigation is ongoing, focusing on the extent of the network and identifying further suspects. The arrests highlight a growing concern about the exploitation and trafficking of private imagery online.
