**MUMBAI, INDIA** – Lee Child, author of the bestselling Jack Reacher novels, has hinted at the possibility of his iconic character, played by Alan Ritchson in Prime Video’s hit series, visiting India in future installments. While speaking to India Today Digital, Child expressed enthusiasm for the idea, but emphasized a need for organic storytelling.
“I know it would be great to bring Reacher to different countries,” Child said, “but I don’t want to turn it into a travelogue. If he went to India, then I’d have requests for Australia, Japan, and everywhere else. It has to be a natural part of the story.” He suggested a compelling plotline, such as a villain operating in India or a friend in need, as a suitable justification for Reacher’s international travel.
Child also praised the success of the Prime Video series, highlighting the dedication of the production team, many of whom are fans of the books. “Hundreds of people are working on it, and they’re all readers, all fans,” he explained. “They’re making the show because they love the books, and that passion shows in the details.” He emphasized the importance of this shared enthusiasm, ensuring the series accurately reflects the spirit of the novels for fans worldwide. ‘Reacher Season 3’ is currently streaming on Prime Video.
