**Bengaluru, February 21, 2025** – Karnataka Tourism has launched pre-familiarization (FAM) tours ahead of the Karnataka International Travel Expo (KITE) 2025, aiming to showcase the state’s diverse tourism offerings to international travel professionals.

The tours, flagged off by K.V. Rajendra, Director of the Department of Tourism and Managing Director of Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation, began on February 21st. KITE 2025, scheduled for February 26-28, aims to establish Karnataka as a leading global tourism destination. The expo, organized by the Department of Tourism and Karnataka Tourism Society with support from the Ministry of Tourism, will connect stakeholders in the travel and hospitality industries to generate new business opportunities.

The FAM tours offer curated experiences highlighting Karnataka’s heritage, culture, adventure, wellness, and nature, including itineraries such as “Best of Karnataka,” “Coastal Karnataka,” and “Karnataka Wild and Hill Station.” Post-expo FAM tours, starting March 1st, will focus on circuits like “Explore Hampi Heritage” and “Explore Coffee Land.” The initiative underscores Karnataka’s commitment to promoting its tourism sector on a global scale.
