**New Delhi, India** – The Delhi Police Special Cell has announced the dismantling of a major inter-state drug trafficking syndicate operating across Manipur, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and the Delhi-NCR region. Three men – Mitralal Khatiwoda alias Manoj (45), Krishna Neopani (21), and Akash Karki (25) – all residents of Manipur, were arrested and 10 kilograms of high-grade heroin, estimated to be worth over Rs 50 crore (approximately $6 million USD) on the international market, was seized.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Amit Kaushik, a four-to-five-month investigation involving extensive surveillance and multiple trips to West Bengal and Manipur led to the arrests. The operation culminated on January 23rd when the suspects were apprehended in Delhi’s Mangolpuri Industrial Area while attempting to deliver the heroin. The drugs were concealed within their belongings.

The investigation revealed the syndicate’s sophisticated operation, which involved procuring raw opium from the Myanmar border, processing it into heroin in Thoubal, Manipur, and then transporting it via various routes across several states using trucks equipped with hidden compartments to evade detection. The heroin ultimately reached Delhi-NCR.

The arrests represent a significant blow to the drug trafficking network and highlight the Delhi Police’s ongoing efforts to combat the flow of illegal narcotics into the country. The investigation is ongoing.
