**Mumbai, India** – The Maharashtra Cyber Cell is preparing to issue a show cause notice to Zomato’s ticketing platform following the sale of tickets to Honey Singh’s upcoming “Millionaire India Tour” concert without including buyers’ names on the tickets.
An official confirmed to NDTV that the Cyber Cell seeks an explanation for this alleged oversight, raising concerns about potential security risks and violations of ticketing regulations. This action follows a recent investigation into alleged ticket black marketeering at a Coldplay concert.
Zomato, however, denies any wrongdoing. In a statement, the company asserted that all tickets sold through its District App, including those for the Honey Singh concert, consistently included the buyer’s name. They stated that they have not yet received the notice but will cooperate fully with authorities upon receiving it.
Honey Singh’s tour, his first major undertaking after a period away from the spotlight, spans ten Indian cities from February to March 2025. Tickets are available through both Zomato and Insider.in. The investigation will determine whether the omission of buyer names on Zomato’s tickets constitutes a violation of ticketing laws.
