**NEW DELHI, February 21, 2025** – Rekha Gupta, a first-time Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), has been appointed as Delhi’s new Chief Minister, marking a significant victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Ms. Gupta, 50, is the fourth woman to hold the post and the only woman among the BJP’s 14 Chief Ministers across India.
