Thu Feb 20 18:26:29 UTC 2025: ## Bangladeshi Duo Sets New ODI Record Against India

**Dubai, UAE –** Bangladesh’s Jaker Ali and Towhid Hridoy etched their names in the record books Thursday, establishing a new national record for the highest sixth-wicket partnership in a One-Day International (ODI). Facing India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai, the pair rescued their team from a precarious 35/5, forging a 154-run stand.

Ali, who ultimately fell for 68, surpassed the previous best sixth-wicket partnership of 150 runs he shared with Mahmudullah against the West Indies last year. Hridoy, however, went on to score a century, becoming only the second Bangladeshi batsman after Shakib Al Hasan to achieve this feat batting at number five. Their impressive partnership propelled Bangladesh to a respectable 228 runs in 49.4 overs.
