**Mandya, Karnataka (February 20, 2025):** Government guarantee schemes in Karnataka are proving beneficial for youth and women, according to officials. Speaking at Mandya University, Pushpa Amarnath, vice chairperson of the Karnataka State Guarantee Schemes Implementation Authority, emphasized the importance of these schemes in supporting the state’s progress.

Amarnath highlighted the Yuva Nidhi scheme, providing financial assistance (₹1,500-₹3,000) for two years to unemployed graduates and diploma holders. Many recipients are using this aid for education and competitive exam preparation, she stated. The Gruha Lakshmi scheme, offering financial assistance to women, and the Shakti scheme, providing free bus travel for women, have also received positive feedback, with women expressing gratitude for the financial relief and increased mobility.

Mandya Deputy Commissioner Kumar echoed these sentiments, stating that the five guarantee schemes have empowered marginalized communities, enabling women to travel further and families to overcome financial hardship. The schemes’ impact was lauded as providing a voice to the previously voiceless. The event was a collaborative effort between the Mandya district administration, Zilla Panchayat, and Mandya University.
