Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh – Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday criticized the Narendra Modi government, alleging the creation of a two-tiered India, one for the wealthy and another for the struggling masses. Speaking at a rally in his Rae Bareli constituency, Gandhi claimed that while the wealthy receive preferential treatment, including loan waivers during the pandemic, farmers, the unemployed, and hardworking individuals face immense hardship.

Gandhi attributed this disparity to government policies, citing demonetization as a key factor in the demise of small businesses. He emphasized the importance of the Constitution in safeguarding the rights of ordinary citizens, highlighting its role as the voice of the people and condemning what he sees as attacks on it by those in power. He called upon political parties and the media to uphold the Constitution’s principles.

Recalling his Bharat Jodo Yatra, Gandhi stated that the march’s aim was to counter the spread of hatred and promote unity in the nation. He asserted that a nation built on hatred cannot progress and urged citizens to reject divisive forces. His visit also included the unveiling of a statue and a temple visit.
