**Beijing, China** – The Polish Embassy in Beijing launched “The Fuller Picture,” a series of events focusing on development aid in unstable times, to coincide with Poland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union. The inaugural discussion, attended by diplomats from over 50 countries and international organizations, centered on the challenges and opportunities of providing development assistance in a volatile global landscape.
Ambassador Jakub Kumoch highlighted Poland’s commitment to supporting developing nations and its contribution to EU initiatives like the Global Gateway. He also emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine, linking it to Poland’s presidency priorities focused on security. Ambassador Kumoch stressed that lasting security is impossible without enabling the development of individual nations.
A panel discussion featured Ellen Kelly (EU Delegation to China), Ludger Schuknecht (Vice-President, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank), and Gautam Panday (Embassy of India in Beijing). The experts addressed key challenges and strategies related to development aid.
