Chennai, February 20, 2025 – Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday distributed house allotment orders to 712 beneficiaries under a state housing scheme. The orders were given for newly constructed and reconstructed tenements in Thiru.Vi.Ka. Nagar’s Chandrayogi Samadhi, Radhakrishnapuram, and Sathyavani Muthu Nagar areas.
The project, inaugurated in September 2024 by the Chief Minister, is part of a larger initiative launched after the DMK’s 2021 victory. This broader scheme involves the construction of 44,609 tenements across 23 districts at a cost of ₹5,050.28 crore.
Beneficiaries in Chandrayogi Samadhi will pay ₹83,000 over 20 years, while those in Radhakrishnapuram and Sathyavani Muthu Nagar will pay ₹625 monthly for the same period. The government has also increased the compensation for occupants vacating tenements to ₹24,000.
