**Hyderabad, February 19, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a March 31 deadline for the registration of plots pending under the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS). Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, chairing a review meeting on Wednesday, instructed officials to accelerate the registration process following LRS approval.
The meeting, attended by Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and D. Sridhar Babu, also approved a 25% registration rebate for low-income individuals. A significant policy change was also announced: if 10% of plots in a layout are already registered, the remaining 90% will also be eligible for registration under the LRS and the rebate.
Mr. Vikramarka urged citizens to take advantage of this opportunity and register their plots. He warned officials to remain vigilant against attempts to register lands on the prohibited list, instructing them to take strict action against any misuse of the LRS. The Deputy CM further directed officials to ensure sufficient resources are available in Sub-Registrar offices to handle the increased workload.
The meeting included key officials from various departments, including the Chief Secretary and Principal Secretaries of Finance, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Revenue, and Industries.
