**SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.** – The New York Thoroughbred Breeders, Inc. (NYTB) has announced the nominees for the prestigious 2024 New York-bred Divisional Awards. The awards, which celebrate excellence in New York thoroughbred breeding and racing, will be presented at a gala dinner on May 19th at Sacred Saratoga.

This year’s nominees represent a diverse range of exceptional horses across various age and racing categories, including 2-year-old and 3-year-old males and fillies, older dirt and turf horses, and male and female sprinters. Among the notable 3-year-old male nominees is Antonio of Venice.

The awards ceremony will also recognize achievements beyond individual horses, with awards including Broodmare of the Year, Champion Trainer, Champion Jockey, Outstanding Breeder, New York Sire of the Year, and a new award, New York Farm Manager of the Year. The evening will feature a cocktail hour, silent auction, plated dinner, and will be hosted by NYRA TV personality Richard Migliore.

NYTB President Dr. Scott Ahlschwede expressed enthusiasm for the event, highlighting the expansion of award categories to encompass all facets of the industry. Brian O’Dwyer, chairman of the New York State Gaming Commission and New York State Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the awards’ role in supporting and recognizing the best in New York breeding and racing.
