NEW DELHI (The Hindu) – Rekha Gupta, a BJP MLA from Shalimar Bagh, has been sworn in as Delhi’s new Chief Minister, becoming the fourth woman to hold the post. Gupta expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP leadership for their faith in her, stating her appointment as an inspiration for women. She vowed to fulfill Prime Minister Modi’s vision for the city and promised a “golden period” for Delhi. The swearing-in ceremony took place at Ramlila Maidan on February 20th, 2025.
