**TAMPA, FL –** A cold front sweeping across Florida will bring rain and thunderstorms to the Tampa Bay area Wednesday afternoon, according to FOX 13 meteorologist Dave Osterberg. While breezy and mild conditions with highs in the mid-70s are expected in the morning, showers are predicted to begin around 3 p.m., moving eastward through the evening. While some thunder is possible, severe weather is not anticipated, and rainfall totals should range from 0.5 to 1 inch.
The storm system will clear by Wednesday night, leaving behind a noticeably cooler and drier air mass. Thursday will see a significant temperature drop, with highs only reaching the mid-60s. Friday morning will be the coldest, with lows in the 40s across much of the Bay Area and dipping into the 30s in northern areas.
Temperatures will gradually rebound over the weekend, reaching highs near 70 degrees, though there’s a slight chance of showers late Saturday into Sunday.
