**Dubai:** India’s bowlers delivered a stunning performance, dismantling Bangladesh’s batting line-up early in their Champions Trophy encounter. Winning the toss and electing to bat, Bangladesh suffered a catastrophic collapse, losing five wickets for just 35 runs. Key players including captain Shamto, Soumya Sarkar, and Mushfiqur Rahim were all dismissed for ducks. Mohammed Shami took two wickets, while Harshit Rana claimed one.
Axar Patel narrowly missed a hat-trick in the first over. He dismissed Tanzid Hasan (25) and Mushfiqur Rahim in consecutive deliveries, only for Rohit Sharma to drop a simple catch off the hat-trick ball, denying Patel this rare feat.
India’s aggressive bowling attack included three spinners – Jadeja, Kuldeep, and Axar Patel – alongside pacer Harshit Rana. Arshdeep Singh was left out of the playing XI. KL Rahul kept wickets.
This is the 11th consecutive ODI where India has lost the toss, equaling the record previously held by Netherlands between 2011 and 2013. The match is taking place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
