**KOCHI, February 19, 2025** – The Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS), a century-old Kerala-based cooperative, unveiled its new pre-engineered building system, U-Sphere, promising faster construction times than traditional methods. The initiative is expected to create 1,000 new jobs over the next five years and marks ULCCS’s expansion into Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

At a press conference, Chairperson Rameshan Paleri highlighted ULCCS’s impressive track record, boasting over 8,000 completed projects encompassing buildings, roads, bridges, and IT parks. U-Sphere, he emphasized, is committed to sustainable and energy-efficient construction. The cooperative aims to reduce carbon emissions by more than 30% over the next decade through the use of eco-friendly materials, renewable energy sources, and water conservation measures. This will also result in lower operational costs for clients.
