**COIMBATORE, INDIA (February 19, 2025)** – A new free dialysis center is set to open in Coimbatore thanks to a collaborative effort between the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation, Rotary Coimbatore Ikons, and the Tamilnad Kidney Research (TANKER) Foundation. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishing the center was signed Tuesday at the Coimbatore Corporation Kalaiarangam.

The center will provide free and subsidized dialysis treatment to economically disadvantaged kidney patients. TANKER Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 1993, will play a key role in the initiative, leveraging its experience in providing subsidized dialysis and financial aid for kidney-related treatments and awareness programs. The collaboration signifies a significant step towards improving healthcare access for vulnerable populations in the region. The MOU signing was attended by several officials, including Coimbatore Corporation Deputy Commissioner T. Kumaresan and TANKER Foundation Managing Trustee Latha Kumaraswami.
