**Chandigarh, February 19, 2025** – The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) commenced its annual examinations for Classes 8, 10, and 12 today. Over 8.82 lakh students are expected to participate across 2,579 examination centers throughout the state.
Class 12 exams began today, February 19th, and will run until April 4th, 2025. Class 10 exams will follow, commencing on March 10th and concluding on April 4th. Class 8 exams also started today and will conclude on March 7th. All exams will be conducted using the traditional pen-and-paper format.
A detailed date sheet, including exam dates, subject names, codes, and timings, is available on the PSEB website: pseb.ac.in. Students are required to bring their admit cards to all exams and arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
The board has taken significant steps to ensure smooth exam conduct, appointing 2,579 Superintendents and 3,269 Deputy Superintendents to oversee the process. Specific student numbers include 3,02,189 for Class 8, 2,84,658 for Class 10 (with an additional 9,877 for the open exam), and 2,72,105 for Class 12 (with an additional 13,363 for the open exam).
