**Bengaluru, February 19, 2025** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Karnataka Lokayukta of issuing a “clean chit” to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in a land scam investigation, alleging a whitewash. Leader of the Opposition R. Ashok took to X, claiming the investigation was a self-serving exercise, orchestrated by and for the Chief Minister.
Ashok further alleged that Congress ministers and MLAs pre-empted the investigation’s outcome, issuing a clean chit to the Chief Minister and his wife before the process concluded. He criticized the Lokayukta’s B report, dismissing it as unsurprising and failing to deliver justice. Despite this, Ashok asserted that the Chief Minister’s attempts to suppress the truth would ultimately fail. The BJP characterized the Lokayukta as a “clean chit guarantee machine,” highlighting its skepticism over the investigation’s integrity.
