Wed Feb 19 02:00:00 UTC 2025: **India’s Unbeaten Dubai Record Boosts Champions Trophy Hopes**
DUBAI – India’s upcoming Champions Trophy campaign has received a significant boost with the revelation of their undefeated record in Dubai’s International Cricket Stadium. The tournament, starting February 19th in Pakistan, will see India play all their group stage matches in Dubai due to the BCCI’s decision not to tour Pakistan. This means India will face Bangladesh (February 20th), Pakistan (February 23rd), and New Zealand (March 2nd) at the venue where they boast an impressive 5-0-1 record (5 wins, 1 tie) in ODIs.
This undefeated streak, achieved during the 2018 Asia Cup, includes victories over both Pakistan and Bangladesh (twice each), as well as Hong Kong. The strong record adds to India’s confidence going into the tournament, where they are grouped with Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand.
The 2025 Champions Trophy, a hybrid tournament due to the India-Pakistan situation, will feature 15 matches across four venues: three in Pakistan (Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi) and one in Dubai. The tournament will be played in a two-group format with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals (Dubai and Lahore). The final, scheduled for March 9th in Lahore, will be moved to Dubai should India reach the final. A reserve day is in place for the semi-finals and final.
The complete schedule is as follows (dates and venues):
