**Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir – February 19, 2025** – The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at seven locations across Jammu and Kashmir today, targeting Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, the Secretary of the Labour and Employment Department. The raids stem from a disproportionate assets case against Ranjan, who allegedly amassed wealth he cannot account for.
The CBI launched its investigation after analyzing Ranjan’s assets during a separate probe into gun license irregularities. Searches reportedly included Ranjan’s office in the civil secretariat in Srinagar.
