**COIMBATORE, February 18, 2025** – Coimbatore police have launched an investigation into the alleged cruelty inflicted upon a street dog at a Saravanampatti mall. According to police, surveillance footage shows the dog being thrown from the second floor of the mall on February 9th. The dog, which reportedly entered the mall and ascended to the second floor, suffered multiple fractures from the fall. The incident came to light following a complaint filed by animal welfare activist Gowtham Srinivasan. Police are currently questioning mall employees suspected of involvement.
