Wed Feb 19 02:52:15 UTC 2025: ## Delhi BJP’s Swearing-In Ceremony Time Possibly Changed to Morning
**NEW DELHI** – The swearing-in ceremony for Delhi’s new Chief Minister, expected to be a BJP member following the party’s resounding victory in the recent assembly elections, may be held earlier than initially planned. While an official announcement is pending, sources suggest the event, previously scheduled for 4:30 pm on February 20th at Ramlila Maidan, may now take place at 11:00 am.
The Ramlila Maidan, with a capacity of approximately 30,000 people, is currently undergoing preparations, including repainting boundary walls and general cleaning. The BJP is anticipated to announce the new Chief Minister following a legislative party meeting on February 19th. Several names are circulating, including those of newly elected MLAs such as Parvesh Verma, Vijender Gupta, and Satish Upadhyay.
The ceremony is expected to be a large-scale event, with invitations extended to Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states, as well as over 200 MPs. The BJP’s win marks a return to power in Delhi after a 26-year hiatus, securing 48 out of 70 assembly seats. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won 22 seats. While the time change hasn’t been officially confirmed, preparations continue at the venue for what is anticipated to be a significant political moment.
