**Hyderabad, February 20, 2025** – Eighty promising startups have been chosen to participate in BioAsia 2025, a two-day life sciences event taking place in Hyderabad from February 25th. Selected from over 700 applicants, these startups represent a diverse range of sub-sectors within the medical technology and biotechnology fields.

The startups, chosen by a panel of industry and academic experts, will showcase their products and solutions at the event’s “Innovation Zone,” which includes Startup and Incubator Pavilions. The top five will gain further visibility by presenting their innovations during the valedictory session.

BioAsia 2025 is organized by the Telangana government, with the support of BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council), a Government of India initiative. This collaboration highlights the event’s role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurial growth in the life sciences and healthcare sectors.

The event provides startups with invaluable networking opportunities, including interactions with industry leaders, venture capitalists, incubators, government officials, and other global influencers. Shortlisted companies are developing solutions in areas such as drug discovery platforms, cancer screening, medical devices, and novel drug candidates.

Adding to the event’s international reach, a delegation of over 15 leaders from Queensland, Australia’s leading research institutions and biotech firms, will attend. Led by Alan Rowan, Director of the University of Queensland, the delegation aims to forge strategic partnerships in biotechnology manufacturing, clinical research, AI-driven healthcare, and advanced vaccine development. This reflects Queensland’s growing engagement with India’s life sciences sector.
