Tue Feb 18 07:06:10 UTC 2025: ## Kerala Rooster Ordered to Relocate After Noise Complaint

**PATHANAMTHITTA, Kerala –** A rooster in Pallickal village, near Pandalam, has become the subject of a legal order after its early-morning crowing disturbed a neighbor’s sleep. Adoor Sub-Divisional Magistrate issued an order to relocate the poultry shed housing the bird from the terrace of its owner’s house.

Radhakrishna Kurup filed a complaint stating that the rooster’s persistent crowing prevented him from sleeping. Following statements from both Kurup and the poultry owner, Anil Kumar, and a site inspection confirming the noise disruption, the Magistrate issued the order under Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Sanghita.

The order mandates that the poultry shed be moved to the eastern side of a washing stone on the southern side of the house within 14 days. Failure to comply will require Anil Kumar to submit any objections within the same timeframe. The case highlights the sometimes unusual situations addressed by local courts.
