**Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, February 18, 2025** – Starting March 1st, 2025, all mineral transportation from quarries in Krishnagiri district will require online e-permits, the Department of Mines announced. This mandate applies to quarries operating across seven taluks: Krishnagiri, Bargur, Pochampalli, Shoolagiri, Hosur, Anchetty, and Denkanikottai.

The new regulation, implemented via an online bulk permit system launched in June 2024, aims to enhance oversight and curb illegal mineral transportation. An improved e-permit dispatch system, already active in Shoolagiri and Hosur, will soon be extended district-wide. Leaseholders are required to apply exclusively through the online platform for faster processing.
