**Bengaluru, February 19, 2025** – Six individuals have been arrested by the SG Palya police in Bengaluru for allegedly robbing a private firm employee after luring him through a honey-trap. The gang, comprising Suhail Khan (42), Wahid Ahmed (27), Syed Shamaluddin (29), Rekha (29), Mohammed Irfan (29), and Salman Khan (26), targeted the victim, a Chennai resident, via social media.

According to police, Rekha befriended the victim online and arranged a meeting. After taking an auto-rickshaw to a hotel, the victim was robbed of his gold chain, bracelet, and two mobile phones by three members of the gang. The victim reported the incident to the SG Palya police, leading to an investigation.

Using CCTV footage, police apprehended the auto-rickshaw driver near Bommanahalli junction on January 29th. Subsequent arrests of the gang members were made across Bengaluru and Mysuru. Police recovered 30 grams of gold from a jeweler in Mysuru, to whom the stolen items had been sold, along with an auto-rickshaw and two two-wheelers worth ₹5 lakh. The investigation is ongoing.
