**MUMBAI, INDIA** – Aprilia has officially launched its highly anticipated Tuono 457 in India, priced at ₹3.95 lakh (ex-showroom). This new semi-naked motorcycle offers a more upright riding position than its fully-faired counterpart, the RS 457. Bookings are open now, with deliveries expected to begin in March 2025.

Unlike previous Tuono models, which shared a design language with the RS series, the Tuono 457 boasts a completely redesigned chassis and aggressive styling. Key features include sharp DRLs, a distinctive central headlight, a muscular fuel tank, and exposed 457cc twin-cylinder engine. Its 800mm seat height promises accessibility for a wide range of riders.

The 457cc liquid-cooled engine delivers 46.9 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Weighing in at just 159 kg (dry), the Tuono 457 boasts an impressive power-to-weight ratio. Further enhancing its performance are features like an aluminium frame (a rarity in its class), 41mm front forks, a monoshock rear suspension (both preload-adjustable), and a 320mm front/220mm rear disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS and two riding modes.

Electronic rider aids include a ride-by-wire throttle, three riding modes (Eco, Sport, Rain), and adjustable traction control. A 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity completes the package.

Available in Piranha Red and Puma Grey, the Tuono 457 is expected to be a strong competitor to the Yamaha MT-03, particularly given Yamaha’s recent price adjustments.
