Mon Feb 17 21:18:57 UTC 2025: ## Aprilia Launches Tuono 457 Streetfighter in India
**Mumbai, India** – Aprilia India has unveiled its latest offering, the Tuono 457 streetfighter motorcycle, priced at ₹3.96 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). Bookings are open immediately, with test rides and deliveries commencing in the first week of March.
The Tuono 457, manufactured at Aprilia’s Baramati facility, shares its underpinnings with the RS 457 but boasts a distinct street-focused design. Gone is the traditional semi-fairing, replaced by a striking “bug-face” design with twin LED headlamps and boomerang-shaped DRLs. A raised handlebar offers a more upright riding position compared to its sportier sibling. Other design highlights include split seats, grab rails, and a stubby tail tidy. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels with Protorq Extreme tires.
Powering the Tuono 457 is a familiar 457cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing 47 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque – identical to the RS 457. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The cycle parts are largely carried over, including USD front forks, a monoshock rear suspension, and disc brakes at both ends. Electronic aids such as three riding modes, switchable ABS, and traction control are also included.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 will compete directly with other popular streetfighters in the Indian market, including the KTM 390 Duke, Yamaha MT-03, and BMW G 310 R.
