Mon Feb 17 14:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Scottish Sister Act: Sarah Bryce Follows Kathryn’s Footsteps in WPL 2025
**Chennai, Feb 13, 2025:** The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 is set to begin, marking the third season of the popular T20 tournament. This year’s competition will feature 22 matches across five teams, culminating in a final on March 15th. A notable trend continues this season: the inclusion of players from Associate nations.
Following in the footsteps of her sister Kathryn, Sarah Bryce, vice-captain of the Scotland women’s cricket team, has been drafted by the Delhi Capitals. This makes Sarah the second Scottish player and the third player from an Associate nation to participate in the WPL. Kathryn Bryce played for the Gujarat Giants in 2024, while USA’s Tara Norris made history in 2023 as the first Associate nation player in the league, achieving a five-wicket haul in her debut match for the Delhi Capitals.
While both Kathryn and Tara were not retained for the subsequent seasons, Sarah’s inclusion highlights the growing international appeal and talent pool of the WPL. The Delhi Capitals have made Sarah their only overseas acquisition for the 2025 season. The league continues to provide opportunities for players from countries outside the International Cricket Council’s full membership.
