**Tirunelveli, February 17, 2025** – Water levels in two major Tamil Nadu dams, Papanasam and Manimuthar, remain below maximum capacity despite recent inflows, according to the latest reports. As of Monday, Papanasam Dam registered a water level of 96.65 feet (out of a maximum 143 feet), with an inflow of 119.61 cusecs and a discharge of 1,200 cusecs. Similarly, Manimuthar Dam’s water level stood at 92.76 feet (out of 118 feet), showing an inflow of 67.35 cusecs and a discharge of 435 cusecs. These figures suggest that while water is entering the dams, the discharge rate currently exceeds the inflow.
