Sun Feb 16 23:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Pitbull Ends NASCAR Partnership with Trackhouse Racing Ahead of Daytona 500
**DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. –** Music superstar Pitbull (Armando Christian Perez) has ended his four-year ownership stake in NASCAR’s Trackhouse Racing Team, the team announced days before the season-opening Daytona 500. The split, effective immediately, comes as no surprise to fans, with neither party offering a reason for the decision.
Pitbull joined Trackhouse in January 2021, as the team made its NASCAR debut. During his tenure, the team achieved significant success, winning eight races and expanding its global reach. In a social media statement, Pitbull acknowledged the team’s achievements, noting they “made history by introducing NASCAR to a whole new audience.” He expressed his love for the sport and its fans.
Trackhouse Racing owner Justin Marks praised Pitbull’s contributions, stating that the rapper “took a chance to help build a brand” at a crucial stage in the team’s development. Marks indicated that the partnership had been mutually beneficial.
Despite the end of his ownership role, Pitbull remains scheduled to perform at the Daytona 500 pre-race concert, though inclement weather threatens the performance. This year’s Daytona 500 features four Trackhouse drivers from four different countries, including Ross Chastain, who will start ninth. The team also fields an entry for four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves.
